This week’s #BestFriend is Oreo, a sweet guy who loves to get all the attention people love to give. Oreo is available for adoption at Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles.
MORE ABOUT ME I am a handsome and sweet guy who loves to get all the attention people have to give me. I am a leaner and will sit by your side as long as you pet me. I am a smart, food driven and training motivated guy, making bonding with me easy. I love to play with toys (even though most don’t last long) and don’t mind getting dressed up in pajamas or a cozy sweater.
I know some basic commands like sit, down, place, and stay. I walk well on leash using an EZ Walk harness and am the best of both worlds, both active and cuddly!
I struggle a bit with dog reactivity on leash and through a barrier. Though I have made progress in these areas through the help of trainers, I will continue to need management when around other dogs and should be the only pet in the home. I am tolerant of wearing a muzzle for any instances where I may be in close proximity to other animals (like at the vet’s office).

Hello! My name is Ariel and I have been with Best Friends Animal Society since 2019. I am based in Los Angeles and have three dogs, Molly, Potato and Banana. In my free time I enjoy taking my dogs to the beach or hiking with them throughout the Los Angeles area.
